The minimal piano music of Jan Swerts is sparse and contemplative, proving that Joni Mitchell was right when she said that there's comfort in melancholy.

 

In 2010 Jan Swerts finished his first full cd. This album, which walks the line between minimal piano music and confessional singer-songwriter, was given the title “Weg” (Gone or A Way in English) and focusses on eight Belgian streets.
