The Blissful Mop is a collaboration between singer and lyricist Bliss Nayler and guitarist composer Joe Inkpen, presenting songs fusing Bliss’s deeply personal lyrics and heartfelt melodies with Joe’s edgy guitar work and instrumental arrangements, forging a fresh take on female fronted rock. They're making a lasting impression wherever they set foot, whether taking to the live stage as a sensitive acoustic duo or as thundering full band presenting the material in all its amplified glory, calling on the talents of bassist Glenn McDougall and drummer Matt Davis.

Bliss’s voice is genuine, her lyrics speaking from the heart, drawing from the aggressive rock deliveries of Skunk Anansie’s Skin, pop melodies of Alanis Morissette, soulful power of Aretha Franklin and complex harmonies of Imogen Heap. Joe’s guitar style is instantly recognisable, as is his ability to compose vast arrangements of orchestral proportion to realise the heartfelt emotion in Bliss’s lyrics, with influences including Cardiacs, Radiohead, Oceansize and Mogwai.
